Fatal auto accident occurs in Montgomery County

On Behalf of | Mar 28, 2013 | Car Accidents |

Car accidents can be a very serious type of accident. Such accidents can sometimes even have fatal results.

One thing that sometimes contributes to car accidents are poor weather conditions. Poor weather conditions can make driving considerably more difficult. It is important for drivers to be mindful of this and to adjust their driving accordingly when they encounter poor weather conditions when out on the roads. Careful driving is always important, but it is particularly so in poor weather conditions.

Recently, a fatal motor vehicle accident occurred in Texas in which weather is thought to have been a factor.

Last Saturday, a Volkswagen Jetta was travelling along Highway 105 in Montgomery County. The Jetta contained two adults and two children (the two adults were the parents of the two children). Reportedly, a collision then occurred between the Jetta and a Dodge Ram that had crossed into the Jetta’s lane from the road’s opposing side.

According to the article on KTRK-TV’s website which reported this story, police believe that weather was a contributing factor in this auto accident. Reportedly, at the time of the accident, there was heavy rain and the road was wet.

The crash resulted in all four of the individuals who were in the Jetta dying. The accident also caused the driver of the Ram to suffer severe injuries. He was taken to a hospital in the area after the crash. According to the KTRK-TV article mentioned above, as of last Saturday, the man was in critical condition.
