Motor vehicle accident in Houston results in motorcyclist’s death

On Behalf of | Feb 27, 2013 | Wrongful Death |

Collisions between motorcycles and other motor vehicles can be a very serious matter. Such accidents can severely injure motorcyclists. Such accidents can sometimes even result in a motorcyclist dying. This can be seen in a fatal motorcycle accident that occurred last week in Texas.

The accident happened last Friday in Houston. Early that evening, a pickup truck was going west along Genoa Red Bluff Road. The pickup truck was towing a trailer.

Reportedly, the pickup truck then attempted a left turn in front of an eastbound motorcycle. A collision then occurred between the motorcycle and the trailer the pickup truck was towing.

According to the Pasadena Citizen article which reported this story, authorities are still in the process of investigating this crash.

A citation for failure to yield has reportedly been issued against the driver of the pickup truck in connection to the accident.

It has been reported that the operator of the motorcycle (a 57-year-old man from Houston) was killed in this motor vehicle collision.

As this tragic crash shows, motorcycle accidents can sometimes have fatal results.

Thus, it is very important for motor vehicle drivers in Texas to take all reasonable steps to prevent motorcycle accidents when out on the roads. This includes obeying all applicable traffic laws and being attentive when behind the wheel. It also includes making sure to exercise appropriate care when driving in areas where motorcycles are present.

One hopes that motor vehicle drivers will do what they can to help keep Texas’ roads safe for motorcyclists.
