Texas fatal car accidents: Officer killed, 5 seriously injured

Fatal car accidents are always a tragic occurrence. Regretfully, an off-duty Texas police officer was helping victims on the side of the road who had just been in accidents themselves when he was killed by fatal car accidents when a semi-truck hit him and the disabled vehicles he was attempting to assist.

Texas fatal car accidents: Another pedestrian killed

A 55-year-old man has died of injuries suffered in a hit-and-run collision. Deadly car accidents continue to plague Texas roadways, and this one marks the second pedestrian death in a little more than six months in El Paso County. The identity of the deceased man was released by local authorities on Wednesday, four days after the weekend accident.

Transfer trailers are dangerous when they drive on the road due to their sheer size. Because of their size, transfer trailers are harder to operate, which is why a special license is required in Texas to prove that those who drive them are skilled at operating the vehicle. As a larger vehicle, the skilled driver must drive more cautiously than regular car drivers. In turn, other drivers must also carefully drive around the transfer trucks. One recent tragedy has resulted in wrongful death litigation.
