Texas infant injured in car accident

On Behalf of | Aug 27, 2014 | Car Accidents |

An infant is among those who were injured in a recent car crash. The three-car accident resulted in three people suffering injuries that required hospitalization. Apparently, the accident happened when one of the drivers turned in front of another at a Texas intersection.

Authorities arrived at the scene of the accident that occurred on a recent Saturday morning. Officials conducted a preliminary investigation and determined that the collision was caused when the driver of a black sedan made a left turn in front of a white van. This caused the van to spin out of control and then strike a parked truck.

As a result of the collision, medical crews transported three individuals to the hospital for treatment. The occupants include two adults and a young baby. The exact details of their conditions have not been released, but they are expected to survive. Authorities believe that the driver of the black sedan did not ensure that it was safe to make the turn prior to the collision, but it’s not known if the driver was cited.

The negligent acts of a motorist can cause injuries to others, and this case is an example. Due to the driver of the sedan’s alleged failure to proceed safely, a car accident was caused that resulted in multiple injuries. The occupants in the van who were injured may wish to initiate legal action under our Texas personal injury laws as appropriate legal remedies. Financial compensation may be awarded if evidence demonstrates that the driver of the sedan was negligent in a way that caused or contributed to the injuries. Being awarded damages may ease financial burdens as the injured recuperate.
